Business Mentoring for Those on A Mission

Metier Logo Sept 2020.png

If you don't know where you are it's much harder to get where you are going?

Are you where you want to be in all areas of your life?

Your health, vitality and appearance?

Your finances, wealth and profit?

Your business or work achievement?

Your spiritual mission?

Your social cause or influence?

Your family and relationships?

Your knowledge and education?

Give yourself a score out of ten for each area.

You don't have to compare yourself to any one else. Give yourself a score from where you are compared to where

you would love to be.

You are here to empower all 7 areas of your life.

You will find that you are focused on 1 to 3 areas of life and may be less focused in other areas. Your values will dictate where your time, energy and attention goes.

If you don't know where you are, how will you know where you are going?

So lets say you are a business  owner dedicated to creating a global business.

You may give yourself a;

6 for business

5 for finance

5 for mental

2 for health

3 for family

2 for spiritual

3 for social

For a total score of 26 out of 70

What actions could you take to raise your score by 7 this quarter?

In the above example the person may have a high value on business, finance and education. They may have a lower value on socialising, spiritual, health and family.

If they decided they would love to increase their score by;

- Using Pareto's law to maximise their business output and focus on the 20% of customers that give you the 80% of results.

- Save a higher percentage of their income

- Study 10 more books on business to increase their business knowledge

With some focus and a strategy they have a high chance of taking these actions as it is high on their values and they can see how it gets them what they want in life.

Now if they decided to

- Exercise everyday

- Get home from work early to spend more time with family

- Meditate daily

They may make a start and begin to take these actions, but then they get more involved in work and miss exercising or find they are not making enough money by coming home early so go back to working longer hours or forget to meditate as they are too busy studying.

If they really want to start taking these actions they could ask themselves;

How specifically will exercising everyday serve my value of business?

How will spending time with my family serve my value of business?

And so on for the other values.

Alternatively she could ask, how is my value of business serving my family?

 Does it mean they get to have more opportunities? go to better schools?

How does my value of business serve me spiritually? Am I hiring people who then provide for their families or achieve their own dreams?

What new actions are you committing to take this quarter?

Can you see with certainty how taking those actions are going to get you what you want in life?

If not have you linked these new actions to your values?
